Obama Resets the Russian Relationship ... Back to 1985

U.S. President Barack Obama has held talks with Mikhail Gorbachev, a spokesman for the former Soviet leader said on Monday, in the latest sign of Washington's efforts to "press the reset button" on ties with Russia.

Spokesman Konstantin Petrenko said Gorbachev met Obama and Vice President Joe Biden — who coined the 'reset' phrase last month — in Washington last Friday.

Remember, Gorbachev is an unashamed Communist. He was the last General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. His reforms were meant to strengthen Communism, not to destroy it. The fact that those reforms led to the Soviet collapse was an unintended consequence, because he was ignorant of the power of freedom unleashed.

What advice could Obama be seeking from this man?

I don't know if this is what Dr. King had in mind, or not.

Plague Devastates AQ Training Camp

At least 40 al-Qaeda fanatics died horribly after being struck down with the disease that devastated Europe in the Middle Ages....

The al-Qaeda epidemic began in the cave hideouts of AQLIM in Tizi Ouzou province, 150km east of the capital Algiers. The group, led by wanted terror boss Abdelmalek Droudkal, was forced to turn its shelters in the Yakouren forest into mass graves and flee.

And he's only getting started:

Now al-Qaeda chiefs fear the plague has been passed to other terror cells — or Taliban fighters in Afghanistan.
